NHTA Ltd,  founded in 1983 providing government approved training and accreditation in NVQ’s and Apprenticeships in hairdressing underpinned by delivering basic and key skills – literacy and numeracy is celebrating in 2008  25  years of success.

The company has traditionally and consistently combined quality, reliability, continuous improvement, equality of opportunity and entrenchment in the HAIRDRESSING sector adding value and achievement for literally hundreds of learners and hairdressing establishments over the years.

NHTA is now one of Nottinghamshire’s leading training providers funded predominantly by the Nottinghamshire Learning and Skills Council (LSC) but also working in partnership with schools, colleges and employers across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Many of NHTA’s past learners have progressed to NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeships gaining additional training and assessing qualifications and becoming trainers in hairdressing themselves. Other past learners have evolved into top stylist in Nottinghamshire often moving into management or establishing their own salons and continuing links with NHTA.

Year on year growth at NHTA has been achieved with experienced, reliable and exceptionally well qualified staff repeatedly achieving the prestigious national Investors in People award.

NHTA has for many years been an approved City and Guilds and OCR centre in hairdressing and achieved excellent Grade 2 results in the most recent Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI now part of OFSTED) inspection.

The company is listed as being one of only 151 training organisations to receive ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ inspection grades for every aspect of its training and was by David Sherlock, Head of ALI as quote;

NHTA continues to operate from well maintained premises, which consists of a fully commercial salon and training academy in Nottingham city centre with additional training and administration a short distance away and has invested heavily in new facilities and technology geared to aid the learner in their training journey. Learners other than those still in school are helped into employment in hairdressing salons in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area. They are trained and assessed both in the NHTA premises and in their places of work achieving each qualification in periods of up to two years.
